Upslope Weather

It's definitely still winter here in Colorado but change is in the air. One notable difference is the smell when we have upslope conditions. Most of the winter weather tracks from the NW - whatever Seattle gets, we get. Sometimes it tracks at a lower latitude and we get LA's weather. It comes up from the south and turns back east to west in an upslope condition. You can tell because you can smell the manure from the farms in Eastern Colorado! The air is heavier and moist. Snowflakes are fatter and bigger, not the dry little ones. You could almost say "Big Smell, Little Snow".
